Mtelo Ministries is partnering with the Bangui Evangelical School of Theology (BEST) or FATEB (in French) in Bangui, Central African Republic. The role of BEST is to educate, train and disciple current and future leaders in Francophone, Africa. BEST offers undergraduate degrees in Systematic Theology, Old Testament, New Testament, Missions and Bible Translation. There is also a Master’s program with two tracks: a Research Master’s degree and a Professional Master’s degree in Christian Leadership and Organizational Management. A doctoral program was launched in 2005.

The vision of BEST is to train entire families; therefore, in addition to the seminary a women’s school is offered. Wives attending with their husbands will receive training in Bible, Theology & Doctrine and Christian Education. The women are also instructed in homemaking skills such as reading, writing, computers, cooking and sewing. BEST also provides a nursery school, pre-school and primary school for the children.

The responsibility of spreading the gospel and discipling believers in Africa needs to be placed increasingly on the shoulders of African believers. However without the training and education provided by seminaries like BEST, this cannot be achieved. Yet the fact remains that most African churches cannot fully fund the education required.

That is where the support of churches, other American organizations, and individuals becomes vital. Please help this important ministry grow in the Central African Republic and across the continent.
